Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between lotions and butters?
Lotions blend oil and water to create a smooth texture. Emulsification brings them together so they don't separate. Preservatives prevent bacteria and mold. Body butters, oil-based with no preservatives, have a longer shelf life. Great for long-lasting natural skincare.
Is body cream the same as lotion?
Body cream and body lotion have distinct benefits. Body creams offer intense moisture and hydration, leaving the skin supple and protected. They're ideal for dry or dehydrated skin. Body lotions have a lighter consistency and absorb quickly, providing gentle hydration for daily use. Both options keep the skin healthy and nourished.
How do I use body butter?
Using the right skincare products for your skin type is key. For dry skin, use body butter after bathing to lock in moisture. It's great for intense hydration. Oily skin? Opt for lighter lotions or gels to avoid a greasy feeling. Know your skin type to pick the best routine and moisturizer. Embrace your uniqueness and pamper your skin accordingly!
How often should I use body butter?
How often to apply body butter depends on skin condition. For dry or cracked skin, apply daily to moisturize and reduce discomfort. Normal or oily skin should limit use to one or two times per week or as needed. Overusing on normal or oily skin may feel greasy. For occasional dry patches, target those areas for deep hydration. Adjust usage based on your skin's needs for best results and health.
How long will the butter last when I apply it?
Your skin will immediately drink up the butter, especially during winter months. Some clients can apply in the morning and be entire day, while others may need to apply twice a day. .
Does body butter darken skin?
Shea butter is a versatile skincare ingredient that offers various benefits. While it is commonly known for its moisturizing properties, many people are unaware that it has been used for both tanning and skin lightening purposes. Body butters have been used to enhance and preserve the skin's natural glow, providing a healthy and radiant tan. While others have used butters for skin lightening, shea butter does not bleach or whiten the skin, but rather works to restore its original color by reducing dark spots and blemishes. Importantly, body butter does not darken the skin, making it a safe choice for those seeking to maintain or attain their desired skin tone.

Benefits of Moisturizing Your Body
Moisturizers will help reduce fine lines and wrinkles; they have great anti-aging effects. Moisturizing soothes your skin, helps protect it from rashes and makes it glow. It also keeps your skin healthy, hydrated and younger looking. A suitable moisturizer can help prevent and treat dry skin, protect sensitive skin, and improve skin tone and texture. Moisturizers such as butters, creams and lotions hold water in the outermost layer of skin, they also act as a temporary barrier for your skin.
Should I use body lotion or body cream on my face?
Body products are not recommended for facial use because they have high oil contents. The skin on your face is thinner than the rest of your body. Body creams and body lotions are formulated for body skin, which is rough and tough and can withstand certain conditions and more oil. Body lotions and creams also contain more oil than face moisturizers.
Notes
Please be aware that our whipped butters are natural-based. It is important to note that introducing water into the product will notably decrease its shelf life and promote the growth of bacteria within the butter. To prevent this, always use clean and dry hands when scooping out the butter. Additionally, it is advisable to store the product in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight. Exposing the whipped butter to direct sunlight can cause it to melt, with the melting point being approximately 77 degrees in direct heat and 80 degrees in indirect heat. Taking these precautions will help ensure the longevity and quality of your whipped butter.
